Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Regional Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: David Leonard, dba Mountain Monarchs of Alaska

PROJECT NAME: LAS 26313

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION:   
Located south of the Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve, on Sixtymile Creek, west of the John River; Wiseman (B-5) 1:63:360.  See attached map.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:   
Township 30 North, Range 22 West, Section 36, Fairbanks Meridian. 

REQUESTED ACTIVITY:
David Leonard, dba Mountain Monarchs of Alaska, submitted a renewal application for a land use permit for a guide base camp along Sixtymile Creek in Guide Use Area 20-05.  The site would be used from March through May and July through October for big game guided hunts.  The camp consists of a wall tent and dome tents.

PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Multi-year term for up to 5 years.  Beginning year: 2017, Ending year: 2022.

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: May 4th by 5PM

The public is invited to comment on the proposed activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK 99709 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue a permit with stipulations for the activity.  The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
