IV. PEOPLE TO BE HEARD (3-5min/speaker): PUBLIC TESTIMONY
Moses Little Fish, Lower Kalskag-1 don't see why people have to use large gear in whitefish lake.
Lucy Morgan, Lower Kalskag -I agree with the comments about whitefish lake.
Nastasia "Jackie" Lev), Lower Kalskag -Concerns were about the Trash about the camping site.
Sometimes it gets really bad.
Glenn Kameroff, Upper Kalskag- We grew up camping in White Fish Lake, we have noticed over the
past years that whitefish were declining of all whitefish. We would inform people that came out to go
fishing about the right gear. I've came across people corking the lake with nets and I had to remove a
net to enter the lake.
Nick Kameroff, Aniak CKAC rep- We only take what we need and some families are bigger than others
and to put a reasonable limit, sticking to 90 foot nets would be sufficient.
Bob Aloysius, Upper Kalskag-1 would like the State to enforce Whitefish Lake.
V. VILLAGE REPORTS {3-5min/ per speaker):
Upper Kalskag: White fish in white fish lake had gotten lower and lower, the broad fish, we do need to
consider the white fish at Whitefish Lake.

Discussion:
Proposal Creator:
Bob Aloysius, Kalskag resident- (Summarized by Coordinator, removed due to content.) This proposal has been worked
on for over 10 years, it's simple it's straight forward and not ambiguous. We do not travel on paper, unless you have
GPS. This paimiut portage is over 1,000 years old and it's a historical trail that is marked and maintained by the people.
There is no way in heck to loose where you are.
Lisa Feyerisen, Chuathbaluk CKAC rep. - (Call to orderon Bob Aloysius, 3"' v\/arning)
(Discussion with ACmembers and Public)
Walter Morgan, Lower Kalskag CKAC Rep- Proposal 10, everyone knows the current boundary line is
because it's simple. Everyone uses the proposed proposal 10 boundary line Paimiut trail as a marker
between Units 18 and 19, and no one gets mixed up between what unit you are in. Our hunting lines
would be the same, it's just made easier and noted in the regulations.
Willie Pitka, Kalskag resident-1 want the people to know what this little hand out says. The villages of
Upper and Lower Kalskag will lose YKRAC, if the boundary line changes below Kalskag, but they will have
7|Central Kuskokwim Fish & Game Advisory
Margret Alexie-1 go out moose hunting and the boundaries never affect me. Iwould like the current
boundary line to stay the same.
Marget Mute- There are many hunters that couldn't, including myself from upper Kalskag that were
against changing the current map.
David Rush-1 like the proposal 10, because its
Moses Littlefish-1 like proposal 10 and it's a good change.
Elina Sergie-1 vote for number 10
Molly Williams Nicholai-1 hunted with my dad many times, hearing what number it is. Igo for number
10, because we are not doing this for ourselves we are doing this for the future generation and their
grandchildren.
Clem Evan- We know the names of the lands we hunt, I'm not worried about the land from here to
Whitefish Lake. We have been asking about it so much is because this is where it ends. When the unit
opens we don't' have enough land down river below us. When unit 19 is open, there is a lot of moose
down river from us and we would like to hunt close by. We are talking about gas prices getting higher. We
would like to hunt near our homes too.
(Those that haven't been heard do agree with people what has been said tonight.)
Mike Savage-1 would like to get this crooked creek behind Kalskag. How is crooked creek?
(Final Comments in order ofACthen public)
AC members:
Walter Morgan, Lower Kalskag CKAC rep. -1 don't understand why the State didn't consult the people, prior to
creating the line in the first place.
Mark Leary, Napaimut/Chuathbaluk rep- Does Board of Game take into considerations for users who live in the area?
Dotowns closest to the area carry the most weight for the Board of Game to consider? Does this effect Tier II or the
federal hunt area? Would United States Fish and Wildlife follow the new regulations, if the Board of Game were going
to change the current boundary line? This is very important.
Stosh Hoffman, BOG representative- When 1vote on the proposal, my concern is that it is clear to everyone and it
doesn't cause problems down the future.
Lisa Feyeriesen, Crow Village/Chuathbaluk rep.-We need to go through and support this Proposal 67.
Public:
Lena Sergie, Kalskag resident- Since our elders were alive, that the portage has been known as our trail to connect to
the Yukon River.
Nick Alexie, Kalskag res. - Use winter trail from Paimute to Lower Kalskag.
Moses Littlefish, Lower Kalskag- Strongly advise us to vote for Proposal 67, customary and traditional use.
Crim Evan, Kalskag-Support Proposal Paimute to Kalskag and White Fish Lake to be included in Unit 19A boundary line.
Dwayne Hoffman, Kalskag res. - Why would we even consider discussing the codified map, when we support the
original Proposal 67?
IX. COMMENTS:
Nick Kameroff- Nicks stated that he wanted to be heard on record that the ADFG staff should be here
face-to-face instead of over the teleconference. He wanted to cancel the meeting after the ACmembers
arrived to meet, due to ADFG staff unavailable to attend due to weather and BOG Interior meeting.
These regulations are important for our lively hood and our way of life. I feel that we shouldn't go on
Mark Leary- It's always really easy for us to misunderstand and it's my understanding that this boundary
line proposal was brought to CKAC advisory, specifically by Bob Aloysius for the past 15 years.
