Solicitation for Public Input – Office of the Governor - Administrative Order 360
The Office of the Governor is requesting information from stakeholders, industry representatives, and interested parties on potential reforms to State regulations contained under 6 AAC 40.010 – 6 AAC 95.900.
Background
On August 4, 2025, Governor Mike Dunleavy issued Administrative Order 360 to improve the quality, transparency, and efficiency of Alaska’s regulatory environment by requiring a 15 percent reduction in regulations by 2026 and a cumulative 25 percent reduction by 2027. In response, the Office of the Governor is soliciting written comments from affected industries, community organizations, and the general public regarding regulations in Title 6, Chapters 40-95.
Submission Requirements
The Office of the Governor is particularly interested in specific ideas for regulatory change that may:
- Reduce unnecessary administrative burdens while maintaining compliance with federal requirements
- Clarify existing regulatory obligations
- Reduce costs

Deadline for Responses: December 15, 2025, 4:00 p.m. Alaska Time. The Office of the Governor will consider comments filed after this date to the extent practicable.
Please note that input provided in response to this solicitation will be subject to inspection, copying, and distribution as public records under AS 40.25.110 – 40.25.220. Please do not include any confidential information in written comments.

The Office of the Governor is not currently proposing any specific regulation change and there are no draft regulations prepared for public comment under the Administrative Procedure Act at this time. If the Office of the Governor undertakes revisions to these regulations, there will be an additional opportunity to comment on the proposed regulation changes that are released for public review and comment under the Administrative Procedure Act.
