PROPOSAL TO LEASE STATE AIRPORT LAND: The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities proposes to lease Item 1 and Item 2, consisting of approximately 51,039 square feet, (ADA-50936 successive lease to ADA-07378 and ADA-07403), at King Cove Airport for 5 years, to expire July 1, 2027. Applicant: City of King Cove. Authorized uses: Non-aeronautical - Use and maintenance of utility corridors and access roads approximately 4,114.33’ in length and 12’ in width (for a total of 49,372 square feet of land); operation and maintenance of five gravel pads (1,667 square feet in total) containing wellhead and associated control kiosks, transformers, starters and pumps; all in support of the Lessee’s waterline system. Annual rent: $5,257.02.
This is an application filed under AS 02.15.090(c), which allows the Department to grant the proposed lease without competition. Written comments must be received by 4:30 p.m., August 13, 2022, after which the Department will determine whether or not to execute the lease.
