RAVEN AND CANNON ISLAND HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

Subject to AS 38.05.0850, the Southeast Regional Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: Raven and Cannon Island Homeowners Association
PROJECT NAME: ADL 26505
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Starts at the junction of Sawmill Creek Road and Cannon Island Drive, heading south to Cannon Island in Sitka, Alaska. Northwest of Jamestown Bay.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Section 6, Township 56 South, Range 64 East, Copper River Meridian
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Authorize an access and utility easement for the homeowners on Raven and Cannon Island. This easement provides vehicular and pedestrian access for owners and guests of the Sitka road system to the residential properties on Raven and Cannon Island. It also provides access to buried and above-ground water and electrical utilities to the residential properties. Walter Dangel previously held the easement authorization for this location, but it was relinquished in 2019 so the homeowner's association could apply for it.
REQUESTED TERM: 25 years
DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: MARCH 25, 2021 at 5pm
The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at PO Box 111020, Juneau, Alaska 99811-1020 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
