Notice of Utility Tariff Filing
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Alaska Power Company (APC), filed TA888-2, requesting approval of a special contract for interruptible power sales with Sundance Mining Group, LLC (Sundance Mining).
Under the special contract, Sundance Mining will purchase at least two million kWh annually. The special contract provides that if, over the course of the year, Sundance Mining uses less than two million kWh, it will pay the difference between the actual amount of kWh consumed during the year and two million kWh. The special contract also provides that if power is interrupted, the minimum energy commitment of two million kWh is not affected. The special contract provides that Sundance Mining will pay rates that are equivalent of the Schedule No. A-4 rates that are listed in APC’s tariff. Finally, the special contract provides for a one-year term and includes a provision for automatic extensions of one-year increments.
