On November 20, 2020, the Division of Insurance adopted changes in Title 3, Chapters 25, 26, 29, 30, and 31 of the Alaska Administrative Code. The regulations concern Surplus Lines Brokers; Attorney Fees Coverage; Annual Notices; Consumer Payments; Limits for Automobile Ratings; Schedule and Individual Risk Rating Plans; Information Filings for Commercial Insurance; Reporting of Statistical Data by Property and Casualty Insurance Companies; Reimbursement of Losses; the Workers' Compensation Review and Advisory Committee; Workers' Compensation Loss Reimbursement Requirements; Fees; Filing Procedures for Forms, Rates, Manuals, Rating Plans, and Rules; amending Definitions; and repealing outdated regulations.
The regulation changes were reviewed and approved by the Department of Law, signed and filed by the Lieutenant Governor (or designee) on November 20, 2020, and will go into effect December 20, 2020.See attached copy of the filed version of the regulations.The new regulation changes will be printed in Register 236, January 2021 of the Alaska Administrative Code.
