NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

 

AMHS Matanuska Dead End Corridor Project- Design Services     

RFP Number 25213010

 

The department is seeking design services from a Naval Architect/Marine Engineering consultant to prepare and finalize a Design Study Report (DSR), prepare bid ready Plans, Specifications and Cost Estimate for competitive bidding based on the approved DSR.  Services also include assist with support during bidding, and design support during construction.

 

A complete description of services is contained in the RFP Package.  Estimated period for performance of the Agreement is from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2025. Cost of these professional services is expected to be in the range of $250,000-$500,000.

 

The Request for Proposals (RFP) Package will be available November 10, 2020 and may be obtained in person from the DOT&PF plans room at 6860 Glacier Highway, Juneau, AK  99801-7999. Persons residing outside the City & Borough of Juneau may obtain an RFP Package through the mail by telephoning (907) 465-4420. Walk-in and telephone service is available during the hours of 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

 

Proposals must conform to the RFP and be submitted with specified forms.  Submittals must be received no later than December 1, 2020, 4:00 PM prevailing time. Please be advised that none of the courier services (Fed-EX, UPS, etc.) provide overnight service to or from Juneau.  Please allow at least 2 to 3 business days for receipt of expedited packages.  In light of the current health situation, the Department will accept an electronic (email) submission of proposals for this solicitation. Proposals should be submitted to srdotpfcontracts@alaska.gov prior to the date and time shown on page 1. Offerors are responsible to assure timely delivery, and receipt of their proposal. Offerors are cautioned that due to mailbox restrictions, we cannot receive proposals over 20MB in size. The Contracting Agency will either print out proposals in color for distribution, or email a PDF to the Evaluation Committee.

 

Individuals with disabilities, including the hearing impaired, who may need auxiliary aids, services, and/or special modifications to submit a proposal should contact the TTD number:  (800) 770-8973, no later than one week prior to the submittal date to make any necessary arrangements.

If you download a Request for Proposal (over $100,000) from this page, you must register with the respective regional plans room to be placed on the planholders list for that project and to receive subsequent addenda.    Every effort will be made by the Department to insure that Contractors receive all addenda when issued.  Addenda may be issued by any reasonable method such as mail, telefacsimile, express delivery service, and electronic posting to this website.  It is the Offeror’s responsibility to insure that he has received all addenda affecting the RFP.  No protest will be allowed based on the offeror’s allegation that he did not receive all the addenda for a RFP.
