RFP: 25RC061656 API Nurse Call and Access Control System Replacement Design-Build

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

Sealed Proposals for API Nurse Call and Access Control System Replacement Design-Build, Program Number 25RC061656, will be received before 4:00 p.m., December 2, 2020 at the office of the Chief of Contracts, 4111 Aviation Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska.

This state funded contract requires the Contractor to provide the necessary design and construction services to replace the existing nurse call system, access control system, and paging head-end at the Alaska Psychiatric Institute in Anchorage, Alaska.  The Design-Builder may elect to provide up to four (4) Owner described enhancements as part of their proposal which will be scored as part of the proposal evaluation.

The Engineer's Estimate is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The Project Substantial Completion date will be May 28, 2021.

A site visit has been scheduled during the advertising period on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 1:30 p.m.  Meet in the main lobby at 3700 Piper Street, Anchorage, Alaska to be escorted through the work areas.  In an effort to prevent the further spread of COVID-19, bidders shall bring and wear face coverings and maintain social distancing. 

Plans, Specs, Proposal Packets and Addenda along with other additional information pertaining to the project may now be downloaded in their entirety at no charge from the Department’s approved online bidding service: https://www.bidx.com/ak/lettings. From the DOT&PF website: http://dot.alaska.gov/procurement/awp/awp-bids.cfm?rc=CR your company must self-register by clicking on the Plan Holders link, or register with the Central Region Plans Room, or your bid may not be accepted.

Proposal documents may also be purchased for $50.00 per set, payable to the State of Alaska, from the Central Region Plans Room, 4111 Aviation Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska before 4:30 p.m. (907) 269-0408.
