NOTICE OF ADOPTED CHANGES IN THE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION
Regulations dealing with air quality standards and limited maintenance plans were adopted by the Department of Environmental Conservation on July 22, 2020, with an effective date of November 7, 2020. The regulations have been made permanent and have been filed by the Lt. Governor. The regulations will appear in Register 236, January 2021, of the Alaska Administrative Code. The regulations changes are summarized as follows:
Adoption by reference of revised federal air quality regulations, adoption of the 2nd 10-year coarse particulate matter (PM-10) Limited Maintenance Plans for Eagle River and Juneau, adoption of federal requirements that identify what triggers a contingency measure in nonattainment and maintenance areas statewide, clarification of the definition of thermal soil remediation unit, and adoption of an updated policy manual from the National Fireplace Institute.
