NOTICE OF ADOPTED CHANGES IN THE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION
Regulations dealing with air quality standards, permit conditions and preapproved emission limits were adopted by the Department of Environmental Conservation on July 22, 2020, with an effective date of November 7, 2020. The regulations have been made permanent and have been filed by the Lt. Governor. The regulations will appear in Register 236, January 2021, of the Alaska Administrative Code. The regulations changes are summarized as follows:
Regulation changes applicable to air quality control permits, adoption by reference of revised federal air quality regulations, updates to cross-references and a facility name, clarified reporting requirements for diesel engine pre-approved emission limits (PAELs), a new PAEL for non-road diesel engines, updated adoption of an air monitoring quality assurance plan, and revised Standard Permit Conditions.
