PUBLIC NOTICE
REGARDING DISPOSAL OF AN INTEREST IN MUNICIPAL TRUST LAND IN CHENEGA, ALASKA BY THE MUNICIPAL LANDS TRUSTEE
In accordance with A.S. 44.33.755 and 3 AAC 190.410 - .460 the Municipal Lands Trust Officer, acting on behalf of the Commissioner of the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development, is considering the issuance of a lease for the following described parcel of Municipal Trust land to the Native Village of Chenega for the site of a landfill:
That surface estate, including all improvements, located in Sections 23 and 26, Township 1 South, Range 8 East, Seward Meridian, Alaska, more particularly identified as Tract P, and a portion of Tract A of the Chenega ANCSA 14(c) survey recorded as Plat 96-17 on December 26, 1996 in the Valdez Recording District, 7.30 acres more or less, as more particularly described in Appendix A – Property Plan.
The Native Village of Chenega, the recognized appropriate village entity for the Village of Chenega, adopted a resolution approving the lease on May 24, 2020.
The public is invited to comment on the proposed lease.
