Brief Description: The Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development proposes to update regulation changes made by emergency regulation regarding waiving the temporary permit and courtesy license fees for nurses and advanced practice registered nurses.
On April 16, 2020, the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development adopted, as an emergency regulation, changes in 12 AAC 02.280 of the Alaska Administrative Code dealing with temporary permit and courtesy license fee waivers for professions regulated by the Board of Nursing, including the following:
12 AAC 02.280. Board of nursing: fees for nurses and advanced practice registered nurses, is proposed to be amended to waive the temporary permit and courtesy license fees for LPN, RN, and APRN applicants that meet the specific requirements for licensure.
The emergency regulation took effect on April 16, 2020, and will expire August 13, 2020. The Department does not intend to make the emergency regulation permanent.
