Notice is hereby given that the Department of Environmental Conservation, as provided by 18 AAC 76.040, finds the following project qualifies for a Categorical Exclusion (CE) to the Environmental Review Procedures of the Alaska Clean Water Loan Fund:
Municipality of Anchorage – Solid Waste Services
Anchorage Regional Landfill Cell 9A
This project includes procurement, construction, and construction oversight of Cell 9A project to provide additional space for management of municipal solid wastes. The project includes approximately 6 acres of liner including leachate and storm water collection and control systems.
All work for this project is within previously developed rights-of-way, and will have no impact on any adjacent undeveloped properties or waters. The project will not directly or indirectly adversely affect any of the following:
1. Cultural resource areas;
2. Endangered or threatened species or their habitat;
3. Environmentally important natural areas.
The project will not have a significant adverse effect on the quality of the environment, either individually or cumulatively over time, or in conjunction with other federal, state, local, or private actions.
