The Preliminary Draft Permit, Fact Sheet, and associated documents are available to the applicant for a 10-day review. Following the close of the 10-day applicant review period, DEC will prepare a Daft Permit and Fact Sheet for a formal 30-day public review period. Public comments will be accepted during the formal 30-day review period. Proposed Permit Coverage:
PMS is located at 1427 Peninsula Street in Wrangell, Alaska, approximately 155 miles south of Juneau, Alaska. PMS operates the bulk petroleum fuel facility located at Wrangell Harbor stores and sells heating oil, aviation fuel, and gasoline to local commercial and residential customers and provides marine fueling services from a small marina they operate. Major components of the storage facility are surrounded by bermed or diked secondary containment areas (SCAs) that collect rain or snowmelt water. The reissuance of the Permit will provide continued coverage for Outfall 001 – Tank Farm and Truck Rack at the PMS, Wrangell Bulk Fuel Facility to the Wrangell Harbor, Alaska:
