Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program

The Division of Alaska State Troopers seeks proposals from eligible applicants for the Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2019 Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program.
Eligible applicants include local units of government with priority consideration given to current participants.
The Department of Public Safety has identified law enforcement programs as the JAG purpose area with priority funding for enforcement that increase efforts toward the multi-jurisdictional drug task force programs.
The total amount of JAG federal funds available to the State to pass thru to local units of government is approximately $279,500. All awards are subject to availability of appropriated funds and to any modifications or additional requirements that may be imposed by law.
Participants will be required to:
- Submit monthly statistical reports to document enforcement efforts.
- Utilization of Alaska Information Analysis Center (AKIAC) for sharing drug intelligence and case deconfliction.
- Coordination and collaboration with Regional Drug Task Force Commanders and/or High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HITDA) Initiative Commanders.
