Orca Power Plant
The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) proposes to issue renewal Air Quality Control Operating Permit AQ0221TVP04 to Cordova Electric Cooperative for the Orca Power Plant, under Alaska Statutes 46.14 and regulation 18 AAC 50.

Latitude 60° 33.3’ North; Longitude 145° 45.2’ West
Activity: The Orca Power Plant provides electrical power and services to private, municipal, and industrial customers in the City of Cordova, Alaska.
Application: CEC applied for an operating permit renewal on June 14, 2018.
Emissions: Potential emissions for the stationary source will not exceed: 6.6 tpy of PM10, 248.8 tpy of NOx, 0.6 tpy of SO2, 77.1 tpy of CO, and 10.8 tpy of VOCs. The total potential emissions of regulated criteria air pollutants are 343.9 tons per year.
ADEC Preliminary Review: Based on review of the applications, ADEC has drafted a preliminary permit decision for the Orca Power Plant.

Opportunity for Public Participation: Any interested person may present written statements relevant to the draft documents by the close of the public comment period. Written comments will be included in the record if received by the close of the comment period. ADEC will consider all comments received and make any changes ADEC finds beneficial or necessary to assure compliance with 18 AAC 50 or state law. ADEC will issue a final decision to issue or deny the permit after the close of the public comment period. ADEC complies with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
