Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Copper Valley Telecom

PROJECT NAME: ADL 233359

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Thompson Pass, near the community of Valdez, Alaska

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: This application is for a public easement that is approximately 12 miles long and 10 feet wide, with an area of about 14 acres. The location of this easement is within Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, and 9 of Township 8 S, Range 2 W, Copper River Meridian and Sections 12, 13, 14, 22, 23, and 27 of Township 8 S, Range 3 W, Copper River Meridian.

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: This application is for an easement for the installation and maintenance of a communications cable and associated boxes. This project will be co-located with ADL 233379, which is an easement for the installation of an underground electric distribution line and associated transformers and junction boxes.

REQUESTED TERM: Indefinite

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: March 19, 2019

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, Anchorage, AK 99501 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above.
