Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southeast Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: DOUGLAS E WRIGHT
PROJECT NAME: LAS 29380
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Chicken Cove, Thorne Bay, approximately four miles southeast of the City of Thorne Bay, Prince of Wales Island
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: NW1/4NW1/4 of Section 1, Township 72 South, Range 84 East, Copper River Meridian
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Douglas Wright ("applicant") submitted an application on October 15, 2018 requesting a 5-year Land Use Permit to allow for continued year-round moorage of an existing personal use recreational floathouse and log breakwater on 0.1 acres of state-owned tide and submerged lands within Chicken Cove in Thorne Bay. The floathouse (45' x 75', 3375 sq. ft.) and log breakwater (4' x 150', 600 sq. ft.) are secured to the state-owned uplands with six shoreties.

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southeast Regional Land Office, 400 Willoughby Avenue/PO Box 111020, Juneau, AK 99811-1020 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above.
