FISHERMEN’S FUND ADVISORY AND APPEALS COUNCIL MEETING
The Alaska Commercial Fishermen’s Fund Advisory and Appeals Council will conduct its fall meeting October 24, October 25, and October 26, 2018.
The meeting will be held at the following location:

October 24, 2018 – Ste. 201, Roberts Conference Room
October 25 and 26, 2018 – Ste. 308, Commissioner’s Conference Room
The meeting will commence in executive session, the Council will review claims for benefits that have not been approved by the Fund Administrator and review claims requesting extension of benefit limits and/or duration of care. Those individuals, who have their claim scheduled for review, have been individually notified of the review.
The business meeting will commence on October 25, 2018, which will include review of the current financial condition of the Fund, policies and regulations governing the administration of the Fund. The business portion of the meeting open to the public and for public comments will convene Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The Fishermen’s Fund assists injured and disabled fishermen who have incurred emergency medical costs as a result of occupational injuries and illnesses, up to $10,000 per injury. It is administered by the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development and is funded by a portion of the revenue derived from commercial fishing license fees.
