NOTICE OF PIPELINE APPLICATION
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that on July 9, 2018, a joint application was filed by BP Transportation (Alaska) Inc. (BPTA), and Kuparuk Pipeline Company (KPC) (Collectively, the Applicants), seeking summary approval of the transfer of BPTA’s 38% partnership interest in Kuparuk Transportation Company (KTC) to KPC. KTC currently holds Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (Certificate) No. 307, for the transportation of crude oil. Docket No. P-18-012 was opened to address this matter.
KTC is a general partnership that owns the Kuparuk Pipeline. KPC is currently the managing partner of KTC. If the Commission approves the application, KPC will own 95% of the KTC partnership.
In conjunction with the application, the Applicants filed a request for waiver of the requirement that they provide audited financial statements. The Applicants also filed a petition for confidential treatment of financial statements. Interested persons may file a response to the waiver or petition with the Commission by
August 6, 2018.
The Commission has not assessed the completeness of the application, ruled on the motion for waiver, or ruled on the petition for confidentiality. The Commission will rule on the completeness, waiver and petition by September 5, 2018.
