On June 25, 2018, the Board of Nursing adopted regulation changes in Title 12, Chapter 44 of the Alaska Administrative Code.  The regulations concern establishment of nursing education program accreditations, retired nurse license status, the scope of practice for advanced practice registered nurses, and professional activities requirements.

The regulation changes were reviewed and approved by the Department of Law, signed and filed by the Lieutenant Governor on July 9, 2018, and will go into effect on August 8, 2018.  See attached copy of the filed version of the regulations.

The new regulation changes will be printed in Register 227, October 2018 of the Alaska Administrative Code.
