Notice of Utility Tariff Filing
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that ACS of Alaska, LLC d/b/a Alaska Communications Systems, Alaska Communications, ACS Local Service, and ACS (ACS-AK) filed TA216-251 seeking to revise its Carrier of Last Resort (COLR) support levels. The filing was submitted in accordance with regulations adopted in Order No. R-08-003(8)/R-09-003(4) that implemented the COLR support mechanism.
With TA216-251, ACS-AK requests that the Commission designate it a COLR and authorize it to receive COLR support. ACS-AK proposes a monthly COLR support amount of $16,806 for its Greatland study area, which is an increase from the current amount of $16,242. In addition, ACS-AK proposes a COLR support amount of $62,032 for its Juneau study area, which is an increase from the current amount of $55,827. The monthly COLR support amounts are intended to help carriers meet their Carrier Common Line revenue requirements and will be paid out of the Alaska Universal. ACS-AK proposed COLR support amounts based on the full amount of COLR support.
