Notice of Utility Tariff Filing

The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Denali Refuse, Inc. (Denali Refuse) filed TA1-743, seeking to implement an initial tariff for refuse services in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley. The proposed tariff contains descriptions, regulations, and rates applicable to refuse services by Denali Refuse.

Order No. U-12-001(2), issued July 10, 2012, approved Denali Refuse’s application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity. AS 42.05.711(i) provides that refuse utilities with annual gross revenues of $300,000 or less are generally exempt from economic regulations and are not required to maintain a tariff on file with the Commission. At that time its application was approved, Denali Refuse’s annual gross revenues were less than $300,000. Denali Refuse’s annual gross revenues have exceeded $300,000; therefore, it is no longer exempt from economic regulation and must maintain a tariff on file with the Commission.
