Public Notice: Preliminary Decision

Pursuant to AS 38.05.083

Subject to AS 38.05.083 the Southcentral Regional Office (SCRO) has made a Preliminary Decision (PD) to offer a 10-year aquatic farmsite lease to Seawan Gehlbach dba Simpson Bay Oyster Company for approximately 14.38 acres, more or less, of tidelands in Simpson Bay, Prince William Sound, Alaska. The proposed site is approximately 12 nautical miles from the city of Cordova, Alaska within Sections 14 and 15 of Township 14 South, Range 4 West, Copper River Meridian. 

The public is invited to review and comment on this proposed project.  A copy of the PD can be found at http://aws.state.ak.us/OnlinePublicNotices/Default.aspx or is available in hardcopy upon request.   Questions concerning how to comment should be directed to Karen Cougan at (907) 269-8543 or by e-mail at karen.cougan@alaska.gov or by fax to (907) 269-8913.  All comments must be received in writing at the above listed mailing address or e-mail on or before 5:00 PM on July 17, 2018. Please reference the corresponding ADL number when commenting. Following the comment deadline, all responses will be reviewed and the Department’s decision on this matter may be modified as a result of information received.
