On December 8, 2017, the Board of Dental Examiners adopted regulation changes in Title 12, Chapter 28 of the Alaska Administrative Code. The regulations bring up to date permitting requirements and procedures for administration of sedation and general anesthesia for the dentistry professions, and also bring up to date certification requirements and procedures for administration of nitrous oxide by dental hygienists.
The regulation changes were reviewed and approved by the Department of Law, signed and filed by the Lieutenant Governor on March 15, 2018, and will go into effect on April 14, 2018. See attached copy of the filed version of the regulations.
The new regulation changes will be printed in Register 226, July 2018 of the Alaska Administrative Code.
