North Slope Borough
Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Regional Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: North Slope Borough
PROJECT NAME: LAS 32066
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: All State land north of the Umiat Meridian between the Canning and Colville Rivers, activities will be approved on a case-by-case basis.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
Off road travel activities and routes at various locations on the North Slope
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Land use permit to construct improved snow trails for Community Winter Access Trails. Travel routes will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: December 20, 2017
End: December 19, 2022
DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: December 4, 2017
The public is invited to comment on the proposed activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK 99709 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue a permit with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
