Notice of Adopted Changes to the Regulations of the Board of Examiners in Optometry

On August 23, 2017, the Board of Examiners in Optometry adopted regulation changes in Title 12, Chapter 48 of the Alaska Administrative Code.  The regulations update and correct requirements for licensure by examination, update examination requirements to include the Injections Skill Examination (ISE) of the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO), and streamline procedures for reporting continuing education as part of license renewal.

The regulation changes were reviewed and approved by the Department of Law, signed and filed by the Lieutenant Governor on October 30, 2017, and will go into effect on November 29, 2017.  See attached copy of the filed version of the regulations.

The new regulation changes will be printed in Register 224, January 2018 of the Alaska Administrative Code.
