Notice of Application to Extend, Modify and Reconfigure the Cook Inlet Pipeline System

The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Cook Inlet Pipe Line Company (CIPL) filed an application on September 8, 2017, seeking approval to extend, modify, and reconfigure its existing pipeline system in Cook Inlet Basin.  Docket No. P-17-007 was opened to address this matter.

CIPL, along with Kenai Beluga Pipeline, LLC (KBPL) have stated that the purpose of this and several related applications is to facilitate the reconfiguration of the crude oil and natural gas pipeline infrastructure in the Cook Inlet Basin to meet the current needs of pipeline shippers, while making the best use of existing infrastructure and rights-of-way (Reconfiguration Plan). 

In conjunction with its application, in accordance with 3 AAC 48.625(a)(7)(D), CIPL filed a request for waiver of the requirement to include audited financial statements because such statements are unavailable.  Any interested person wishing to file a response to the request for waiver must do so by 5:00 p.m., October 6, 2017.

The Commission has not assessed the completeness of the application or ruled on the request for waiver.  The Commission will rule on the petition for waiver and determine whether the application is complete by November 3, 2017.
