Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southeast Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Resort Associates

PROJECT NAME: LAS 28126

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Port Refugio, approximately 14 miles Southwest of Klawock

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: SW ¼ NW ¼, Sec. 7, T. 76 S., R. 80 E., CRM

                                 55.2945 N, 133.3192 W

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Resort Associates has submitted an application to the Division of Mining Land and Water (DMLW) for a 5-year Land Use Permit requesting authorization for seasonal (June 1 through August 31) placement of a commercial use floating dock on state owned tide and submerged lands within an unnamed bay Northwest of Port Refugio. The floating dock (22’ x 40’) would be secured with two anchors below the line of mean high water. 

PROPOSED DATES OF USE:

Start: June 1, 2017

End: May 31, 2022

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: September 19, 2017

The public is invited to comment on the proposed activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 400 Willoughby Avenue/PO Box 111020, Juneau, AK 99811-1020 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue a permit with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
