PUBLIC NOTICE

REGARDING DISPOSAL OF AN INTEREST IN MUNICIPAL TRUST LAND IN 
KOKHANOK, ALASKA BY THE MUNICIPAL LAND TRUSTEE

In accordance with A.S. 44.33.755 and 3 AAC 190.420 - .440 the Municipal Land Trust Officer, acting on behalf of the Commissioner of the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development, is considering the issuance of a lease of the following described parcel of Municipal Trust land to GCI Communication Corp. for a telecommunications site, which is located in Kokhanok, Alaska:

The surface estate of a 75-foot by 75-foot parcel located on that portion of Lot 1 of Plat No. 92-02 that is situated between Lot 9 of Plat No. 82-12 and the “Clinic Lease” described in the lease recorded at Book 18, Page 665, all recorded in the Iliamna Recording District, Third Judicial District, State of Alaska, more specifically located as shown in the attachment.

The Kokhanok Village Council, the recognized appropriate village entity for the village of Kokhanok, adopted a resolution approving the lease on May 15, 2017.  

The public is invited to comment on the proposed lease.  Please submit comments to:

no later than 4:00 p.m. on June 26, 2017.  Following the comment deadline, all responses will be reviewed and the Commissioner’s decision on this matter may be modified as a result of information received.
