The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (Department) proposes to issue Air Quality Control Operating Permit No. AQ1277TVP02 to the Fairbanks North Star Borough (FNSB) for the FNSB Solid Waste Facility stationary source under AS 46.14 and 18 AAC 50.

Emissions: The potential annual emissions at the source will not exceed 3 tons of NOx, 1 ton of CO, 25 tons of PM-10, 7 tons of PM-2.5, 8 tons of SO2, 3 tons of VOC, and 7 tons of HAPs.
Preliminary Review: The Department drafted a preliminary permit decision for the FNSB Solid Waste Facility based on review of the application materials.

Opportunity for Public Participation: Notice is also given that any interested person may present written statements relevant to the draft documents by the close of the public comment period. Written comments will be included in the record if received by close of the comment period. The Department will consider all comments received and make any changes it finds beneficial or necessary to assure compliance with 18 AAC 50 or State Law. Any person may request a public hearing and that hearing will be held if the Department finds that good cause exists. The Department will issue a final decision to issue or deny the permit after the close of the public comment period.
