NOTICE OF PROPOSED CHANGES ON ADVERTISING REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSED MARIJUANA BUSINESSES
IN THE REGULATIONS OF THE ALCOHOL & MARIJUANA CONTROL OFFICE
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The State of Alaska Alcohol and Marijuana Control Office proposes to adopt regulation changes in 3 AAC 306 of the Alaska Administrative Code, dealing with marijuana products, advertising requirements, and shared use spaces, including the following:
3 AAC 306.310 (a)(6) removes “marijuana” and replaces it with “perishable marijuana product.”
3 AAC 306.360(e) removes existing advertising language requirements and replaces with new language.
3 AAC 306.925 adds a new section to allow marijuana establishments to share space with non-
licensee tenants under certain conditions.
You may comment on the proposed regulation changes, including the potential costs to private persons of complying with the proposed changes, by submitting written comments to Jedediah Smith, Alcohol & Marijuana Control Office at 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 1600, Anchorage, AK 99501. Additionally, the Alcohol & Marijuana Control Office will accept comments by electronic mail at amco.regs@alaska.gov. Please notate which regulation your comments are directed in the subject line of any emailed comment. Comments may also be submitted through the Alaska Online Public Notice System by accessing this notice on the system and using the comment link. The comments must be received not later than 4:30 pm on June 30, 2017.
You may submit written questions relevant to the proposed action by email to amco.regs@alaska.gov or to Jedediah Smith at 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 1600, Anchorage, AK 99501. Please do not submit questions through the Alaska Online Public Notice System. The questions must be received at least 10 days before the end of the public comment period. The Alcohol & Marijuana Control Office will aggregate its response to substantially similar questions and make the questions and responses available on the Alaska Online Public Notice System and AMCO’s website.

After the public comment period ends, the Alcohol & Marijuana Control Office will either adopt the proposed regulation changes or other provisions dealing with the same subject, without further notice, or decide to take no action. The language of the final regulation may be different from that of the proposed regulation. You should comment in writing during the time allowed if your interests could be affected.
