Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Region office has received an application for the following:

PROJECT NAME: LAS 31621 Nike Site Love Pump House Debris Removal
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: The site is located in the Fairbanks Meridian, Township 2 North, Range 2 West, within the SE¼ NW¼ of Section 25, at the following coordinates: 64.9723°North Latitude, 147.8692° West Longitude. Access is via Elliot highway and Old Murphey Dome road, north of Fox, AK. See Attachment A.

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: United States Army Corps of Engineers has submitted an application to the Division of Mining, Lands, & Water (DMLW) for a 1-year Land Use Permit requesting authorization for the use of heavy equipment to collect soil samples and remove debris associated with the United States Air Force operation of the Nike Site Love drinking water pump house.

End: 10/30/2017
DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: April 7 2017
The public is invited to comment on the proposed activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, Alaska 99709 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue a permit with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
