SUPPLEMENTAL NOTICE OF PROPOSED CHANGES ON VETERANS MEMORIAL AND MONUMENT GRANTS
IN THE REGULATIONS OF DEPARTMENT OF MILITARY AND VETERANS AFFAIRS
BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs proposes to change regulations on Veterans Memorial and Monument Grants.
The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs proposes to adopt regulation changes in 10 AAC 30.010 – 30.900 of the Alaska Administrative Code, dealing with Veterans Memorial and Monument Grants, including the following:
(1) 10 AAC 30.010 – 30.900 is proposed to be changed as follows: proposed amendment to simplify regulations regarding grants to more closely align with the requirements of AS 37.14.730.
This supplemental notice is to allow additional opportunity for comment. If you have already commented, you need not do so again. You may comment on the proposed regulation changes, including the potential costs to private persons of complying with the proposed changes, by submitting written comments to Ms. Mercedes Angerman at 4600 Debarr Rd., Ste. 180, Anchorage, AK 99508. Additionally, the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs will accept comments by facsimile at 907-334-0869 and by electronic mail at alaska.veterans@alaska.gov. Comments may also be submitted through the Alaska Online Public Notice System, by accessing this notice on the system and using the comment link. The comments must be received not later than 4:00 p.m. on February 3, 2017.
You may submit written questions relevant to the proposed action to Ms. Mercedes Angerman at 4600 Debarr Rd., Ste. 180, Anchorage, AK 99508 or alaska.veterans@alaska.gov. The questions must be received at least 10 days before the end of the public comment period. The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs will aggregate its response to substantially similar questions and make the questions and responses available on the Alaska Online Public Notice System.

After the public comment period ends, the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs will either adopt the proposed regulation changes or other provisions dealing with the same subject, without further notice, or decide to take no action. The language of the final regulation may be different from that of the proposed regulation. You should comment during the time allowed if your interests could be affected.
