NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

Ketchikan-Revilla Upland Improvements

RFP Number 25173015

The Department intends to enter into a negotiated agreement for professional architectural, civil, geotechnical, structural, electrical and mechanical engineering services for the design of a new passenger waiting building and upland improvements at the existing airport shuttle ferry terminal in Ketchikan, Alaska. Expertise in the analysis and design of large public building structures, urban development projects including roadways, vehicle parking and access areas, pedestrian walkways and sewer and water utilities is required under this project. Ancillary services for geotechnical exploration and analysis and electrical and mechanical engineering services are also requested under this procurement. Environmental analysis and land surveying services will be handled by the Department and are not required. .

A complete description of services is contained in the RFP Package.  Estimated period for performance of the Agreement is March 1, 2017 / December 31, 2020. Cost of these professional services is expected to be Greater than $1,000,000.

The Request for Proposals (RFP) Package will be available January 11, 2017 and may be obtained in person from the DOT&PF plans room at 6860 Glacier Highway, Juneau, AK  99801-7999. Persons residing outside the City & Borough of Juneau may obtain an RFP Package through the mail by telephoning (907) 465-4488. Walk-in and telephone service is available during the hours of 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Proposals must conform to the RFP and be submitted with specified forms.  Submittals must be received no later than February 2, 2017, 4:00 PM prevailing time. Please be advised that none of the courier services (Fed-EX, UPS, etc.) provide overnight service to or from Juneau.  Please allow at least 2 to 3 business days for receipt of expedited packages.

Individuals with disabilities, including the hearing impaired, who may need auxiliary aids, services, and/or special modifications to submit a proposal should contact the TTD number:  (800) 770-8973, no later than one week prior to the submittal date to make any necessary arrangements.

If you download a Request for Proposal (over $100,000) from this page, you must register with the respective regional plans room to be placed on the planholders list for that project and to receive subsequent addenda.    Every effort will be made by the Department to insure that Contractors receive all addenda when issued.  Addenda may be issued by any reasonable method such as mail, telefacsimile, express delivery service, and electronic posting to this website.  It is the Offeror’s responsibility to insure that he has received all addenda affecting the RFP.  No protest will be allowed based on the offeror’s allegation that he did not receive all the addenda for a RFP.
