NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO ACQUIRE CONTROLLING INTEREST
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that on January 6, 2017, William Douglas DeVore (Applicant) filed an application to acquire controlling interest in Bush-Tell, Inc. (BTI). BTI holds Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity Nos. 99 and 561, authorizing the provision of local exchange and private pay telephone services in Aniak, Anvik, Crooked Creek, Grayling, Holy Cross, Kalskag, Red Devil, Shageluk, Sleetmute, and Stony River. Docket No. U-17-001 was opened to address this matter.
BTI was previously owned by Harry Colliver, Jr. who passed away on November 24, 2015. The acquisition will have no impact on BTI’s current rates, terms, or services.
In conjunction with its application, the Applicant has filed a petition for confidential treatment of personal financial information filed in support of the application. Interested persons may file a response to the petition for confidential treatment with the Commission by 5:00 p.m., January 31, 2017.
The Commission has not assessed the completeness of the application. The Commission may determine whether the application is complete after the close of the comment period.
