Specifically, the division is seeking public input regard the revision of its regulatory framework relating to the requirement of surety bonds with oil or gas exploration, development, or production business licenses in response to Ch. 4 4SSLA 16. The division is asking members of the public and industry for their input regarding suggestions and proposals which would assist the DCCED in its efforts to draft the regulations relating the requirement of surety bonds with oil or gas exploration, development, or production business licenses.

The purpose of this notice is to ask the public for their ideas and suggestions for these regulations before the division undertakes the task of drafting any specific proposed revisions to these regulations for public review. These ideas and suggestions can be as broad or narrow, or as general or as specific, as a submitter may wish.

The division is not currently proposing any specific changes at this time. There are no draft regulations to review. The division is in the information gathering stage and seeks comments from the public for suggestions and proposals on regulations related to the requirement of surety bonds with oil or gas exploration, development, or production business licenses, before the formal process of drafting any proposed changes begin.
