Notice of Utility Tariff Filing
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that the Municipality of Anchorage d/b/a Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility (AWWU), on behalf of Anchorage Wastewater Utility, filed tariff revision TA158-126, a revenue requirement based on a 2015 test year.
With TA158-126, AWWU requests an across-the-board rate increase of 9.5%. AWWU requests that the proposed rate increase become effective on a permanent basis, effective January 1, 2017. If the Commission suspends TA158-126 for further investigation, AWWU requests the proposed rate increase be applied on an interim and refundable basis, effective January 1, 2017. AWWU states that it anticipates that the requested increase will result in an increase of approximately $3.87 on a typical single-family residential customer’s monthly wastewater bill. A selection of the current and proposed rates are provided in the table below.
