Notice of Utility Tariff Filing
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Golden Valley Electric Association, Inc. (GVEA) filed tariff revision TA289-13 seeking to revise its budget billing program to allow customers to sign up for the program during any point of the year and revise the annual review process.
With TA289-13, GVEA proposes that all budget billing program accounts will be annually reviewed in April. Further, GVEA proposes that if, during this annual review, a customer is found to have a debit balance, the customer will be required to bring the account current and GVEA will re-calculate the new monthly budget amount. The new monthly budget amount will be paid by the participating customer starting in May. This process is in addition to reviews carried out periodically during the year, which may result in adjustments if a customer’s budget bill is found to be more than ten percent higher or lower than anticipated seasonally adjusted billings.
