Notice of Utility Tariff Filing

The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that ENSTAR Natural Gas Company (ENSTAR) filed TA288-4, seeking to add a new cost element to its Gas Cost Adjustment to recover costs from its new Interruptible Storage Service (ISS) Agreement with Cook Inlet Natural Gas Storage Alaska, LLC (CINGSA).

ENSTAR states that it is approaching its maximum storage quantity (MSQ) of 8.5 Bcf provided in its Firm Storage Service Agreement with CINGSA. Exceeding the MSQ results in excess charges of $0.1026 per Mcf per day. ENSTAR further states that the ISS Agreement will provide it with additional storage space on a temporary basis if it becomes necessary and is more cost effective than incurring CINGSA’s excess charges.

ENSTAR is requesting an effective date for TA288-4 of September 19, 2016. ENSTAR is not proposing to revise the amount of the Gas Cost Adjustment at this time.

This notice does not contain all of the revisions proposed in TA288-4. The Commission may approve a rate or classification which varies from those proposed.
