Notice of Public Meeting

State Vocational Rehabilitation Committee Quarterly Meeting

September 6-7, 2016

The State Vocational Rehabilitation Committee (SVRC) promotes the employment and rehabilitation of people with disabilities and will hold its quarterly meeting September 6-7, 2016.

MEETING SITES

Anchorage and Juneau SVRC members will be meeting at two main locations and teleconferencing with each other:

1. Fairbanks Job Center, 675 Seventh Avenue, Station M, Fairbanks, AK 99701.
2. Juneau Department of Labor Building, 1111 W. 8th St, Room 303, Juneau, AK 99801.
3. Anchorage Job Center, 3301 Eagle Street, Room 104A, Anchorage, AK 99503.

Members who live outside of Fairbanks, Anchorage and Juneau will be calling in to 1-888-354-0094 and using conference code 2179208.

MEETING DATE AND TIMES

September 6: The meeting will be held from 1:30 until 5:30 p.m. Public Testimony on the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation’s services will be heard from 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

September 7: The meeting will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 1:10 p.m.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN PUBLIC TESTIMONY

1. Send an email with your testimony to Jason.Caputo@Alaska.gov or a fax to Jason Caputo at 907-465-2856. Your email or fax should include your permission to read it aloud at the public meeting and be sent by 5:00 p.m., August 30, 2016. 

2. Call in to the meeting on September 6, 2016, between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Call 1-888-354-0094 and, when prompted, enter the conference code number 2179208 followed by the # sign.

You may hear the meeting in session when you call. We will check the phone line periodically and will put your name on a list if there are other people before you giving testimony.

3. Write a letter with your testimony, and include your permission to read aloud at the public meeting.  Mail your testimony with enough time to reach our office by 5:00 p.m., August 30, 2016 and address it to:

Note:

- Emailed, faxed or written testimony received after 5:00 p.m., August 30, 2016 will be read at a future SVRC quarterly public meeting.

- If you intend to provide your testimony in person or by phone, letting us know in advance will help us better coordinate the public testimony.
