Notice of Adopted Changes to Regulations and Effective Date
The Regulatory Commission of Alaska (Commission) adopted regulation changes in 3 AAC 53.243 dealing with tariffing and tariff advice filing requirements for non-dominant competitive local exchange markets. Specifically, the Commission expanded the simplified tariff filing procedures for any competitive local exchange market served by a carrier that is otherwise exempt from economic regulation, simplified and delineated the content and form of tariffs filed with the Commission, expanded the list of changes that may be implemented without Commission approval, expanded and clarified the tariff filing requirements, provided customers access to tariffs and special contracts, and outlined the Commission authority to reject tariff advice and special contract filings. The regulation was adopted by the Commission on June 3, 2016. The regulation has been filed by the Lt. Governor and will be effective on August 20, 2016. The regulation will appear in Register 219, October 2016 of the Alaska Administrative Code.
