Notice of Utility Tariff Filing
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Alaska Electric Light & Power Company (AEL&P) filed tariff revision TA449-1, requesting approval of Amendment No. 3 to the Agreement for the Sale and Purchase of Interruptible Energy (“Interruptible Energy Contract”) between AELP and Princess Cruise Lines, Inc. (Princess). AEL&P proposes to amend Section 3(d)(iii)(1) of the Interruptible Energy Contract to clarify the quantity of energy to be used in the calculation of the per kWh energy charge under the contract. The formula used to determine the energy charge is intended to reflect the average output cost per kWh of Lake Dorothy Hydroelectric Project (Lake Dorothy) energy. The initial determination expected the annual energy output to be 74,500,000 kWhs per year. AEL&P proposes to clarify that the rate will be based on the five most recent calendar years’ average of Lake Dorothy output.
