Alaska Historical Commission to meet Feb. 23 in Anchorage

(Anchorage,AK) – The Alaska Historical Commission will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noonon Tuesday, Feb. 23, by teleconference.   The meeting is open to the public, and thereis a central meeting room in Suite 102 of the Robert B. Atwood Building, at 550West 7th Ave. in Anchorage

 

The commissionwill review proposals for projects to commemorate the 150thanniversary of the Alaska Treaty of Cession.  A preliminary agenda is posted atwww.dnr.state.ak.us/parks/oha/index.htm.

 

Any personor group wishing to address the commission on matters relating to history,archaeology or historic preservation is invited to participate in the publiccomment session starting at 9:30 a.m. To comment by phone, arrangements must bemade in advance by calling 907-269-8714.
