Public Access Easement Amendment

for Constructed Gravel Road, Glennallen

Proposed Project and Location:

In accordance with AS 38.05.850, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Division of Mining, Land and Water (DMLW) Southcentral Regional Office is considering an amendment to a previously issued Public Access Easement (ADL 218306) for the northernmost segment of an existing gravel access road situated on DMLW-managed lands south of the Glenn Highway at Mile Post 186 within affected portions of Sections 22 and 23, Township 4 North, Range 2 West, Copper River Meridian. The proposed action will standardize and increase the previously unsurveyed easement area from 50 feet wide to 60 feet wide along an alignment that is approximately 1,650 feet long, resulting in an overall area of 2.3 acres of land, more or less. Please see the attachment for additional location information. Nothing herein implies the establishment of an easement across lands that are not managed by DMLW, even if they are depicted on project-related maps, plans or drawings.

Comment Period and Additional Information:

Members of the public and interested parties are invited to comment on this proposal. The Division of Mining, Land and Water must receive written comments addressed to DNR-DMLW Southcentral Regional Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900 C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 no later than 5:00 pm on Wednesday, December 30, 2015. All comments should clearly explain the facts on which they are based and how they pertain to the proposed action. Following the comment deadline, all responses will be reviewed and the Department's decision on the matter may be modified as a result of the information received.
