NOTICE OF HEARING REGARDING
REINSURANCE ASSUMPTION (POLICY TRANSFER) AGREEMENT

BETWEEN
SUNDERLAND MARINE INSURANCE CO, LTD (US BRANCH)

AND
SUNDERLAND MARINE INSURANCE CO, LTD (UK)

The director, under the authority of AS 21.06.180, AS 21.69.610(b), and AS 21.69.620(a), gives notice that the division of insurance is considering a plan of reinsurance assumption (policy transfer) of all policies and related obligations of those policies held by Sunderland Marine Insurance Co, Ltd (US Branch), organized under AS 21.09.310 using Alaska as its state of entry, by its parent, Sunderland Marine Insurance Co, Ltd (UK), an alien surplus lines carrier domiciled in the United Kingdom.

The division will hold a hearing in the division of insurance conference room in Suite 1560, Atwood Building, 550 West Seventh Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska on October 28, 2015. The hearing will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and may be extended to accommodate those present before 10:00 a.m. who do not have an opportunity to testify. Any interested person may present oral or written statements or arguments relevant to the director's consideration of the proposed action. If you are unable to attend the hearing in person and would like to participate by teleconference, please call 1-800-315-6338 and enter the access code 42070 followed by the # sign (pound sign). In addition, written statements or arguments may be sent to the division of insurance, Attention: Maxine L. Froemling, 550 West Seventh Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99501, or by e-mail to maxine.froemling@alaska.gov to be received no later than 5:00 p.m., October 28, 2015.

Information regarding the plan of reinsurance assumption of the U.S. Branch’s policies and related obligations by Sunderland Marine Insurance Co., Ltd, its parent, will be posted on the division's website on or before October 12, 2015.
