Invitation for Quotes: PSG: Mitkof Hwy. Road Weather Information System Relocation & Upgrade; 83934/0106(072)

Bids for the PSG: Mitkof Hwy. Road Weather Information System Relocation & Upgrade, Project Number 83934/0106(072), will be receiveduntil 2:00 p.m., July 07, 2015 at theoffice of the Contracts Officer, at 6860 Glacier Highway, Juneau, Alaska.

Description of the workis as follows: 

Thepurpose of this project is move the existing Blaquiere Point RWIS ESS from aCoast Guard buoy stand to the Mitkof Highway at MP 33 and to upgrade the BananaPoint ESS for new solar panels and cellular signal amplifier.  Theexisting Blaquiere Point RWIS is no longer operational and will bedecommissioned.  The wind turbine will be relocated from the old site tothe new location.  The Blaquiere Point RWIS ESS will be upgraded for newsensors, solar panels, and electronics as the components at the old site aremore than ten years old.     A concrete base is alreadyinstalled at the new site.
