The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) has made a preliminary decision to approve Knik Construction Co., Inc.’s application for Air Quality Control Minor Permit AQ1322MSS02 for the Knik Astec Mobile Asphalt Plant II.

Activity: Knik Construction Co., Inc.’s application is classified under 18 AAC 50.502(b)(1) to relocate and operate an asphalt plant with a rated capacity of at least five tons per hour of product.
Emissions: PTE for this source is 40.2 tpy NOx, 94.9 tpy CO, 16.8 tpy PM-10, 8.0 tpy SO2, and 23.4 tpy VOC.
ADEC Preliminary Review: Based on review of the application, ADEC drafted a preliminary permit decision for this project under AS 46.14 and 18 AAC 50.
