The Citizens' Advisory Commission on Federal Areas (CACFA) will be meeting in Fairbanks on Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the Legislative Information Office, 1292 Sadler Way, Suite 308.

Presentations and discussion at this meeting will focus on exploring and understanding Bureau of Land Management policies, procedures, authorities and planning efforts in Alaska, including:

• RS 2477s and 17(b) Easements
• Navigability Determinations
• Areas of Critical Environmental Concern
• Rapid Ecoregional Assessments
• Resource Management Plans
• 17(d)(1) Land Use Withdrawals
• Trapping Cabin Opportunities

This meeting is open to the public and two 30-minute opportunities will be provided for public comment each meeting day, once at 11:30 a.m. and again at 3:30 p.m.  Persons who are unable to attend the meeting in person and who wish to present comments may do so by calling (907) 463-5009 (in Juneau) or (855)463-5009 (outside Juneau) during public participation periods.  These lines will also be open and available for call-in during the meeting as “listen-only.”

Written comments may be submitted to the Commission at any time; any comments received will become part of the record and subject to inspection.  All comments received in advance of the meeting will be provided to commissioners as part of their individual meeting packets.
